September 25, our Filipino Community in Lithuania had the honor and the priviledge of joining a Town Hall Meeting and Open Forum with Department of Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac, together with Usec. Jainal T. Rasul Jr., Ambassador Alan L. Deniega, and Labor Attaché Llewelyn D. Perez at Courtyard by Marriott Vilnius.
From honest questions about OFW protection, legal assistance, and reintegration, to stories of resilience and hope — our “boses” were heard. This dialogue came on a historic day as the Philippines and Lithuania signed the Labour Consultations Mechanism to strengthen protection for Filipino migrant workers in Lithuania, and to ensure safeguards for recruitment, employment and repatriation of Filipino workers.
